Brandnic – sophisticated and modern brand marketplace

Fahad came to us with ready designs and front-end coding for his new site. He wanted to sell domain names, brand names, logos and other corporate identity elements on a large scale. It was an ambitious project, and we were happy to take part in it.

GOAL

The site had to be really great, both on the frontend and on the backend. It had to combine a marketplace and a blog in itself. There should be sophisticated elastic search and checkout process, unusual site map and a complicated but easy to use admin panel.

PROGRESS

We planned to begin with building a theme, as we had ready designs and frontend coding provided by the client. Unfortunately, they didn’t correspond to each other, so the first thing we had to do was to make them fit each other and to make them responsive.

Then we developed a theme using our front-end coding. It took us a while to make the final version, as Fahad wanted the site to look perfect, and the theme had to undergo numerous changes before it was approved. A lot of new features were introduced, some of them are really interesting.

For example, the three-stepped Google-like search that ignores misspelling, and searches among domain names, product names and texts. The site map represents another unusual feature – it shows tags that are added in the admin panel.
